CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Name: Robert Lutece
Age: Mid-thirties
Canon: Bioshock: Infinite
Canon Point: Post death, but the Luteces are an odd case. The result of their death was not a true death. Instead, they now existed across all of space time, which allows them to appear wherever and whenever they wanted. So technically they are aware of what was, is, and will be.
Character Information: Lives, Lived, Will Live.
Personality: Robert Lutece is everything Rosalind Lutece is and is not. Such is the case when the person you are also exists elsewhere across the infinite numbers of possible universes in time and space.
Like his sister, Robert possesses a thirst and curiosity for knowledge that knows no bounds. Unlike his sister it is doubtful since he was born a boy that he was never subjected to the social stigma's that came with a woman who wanted to work in a man's field. That fact alone would have let him thrive in the scientific among his peers and the scientific community. Compared to Rosalind he is much more comfortable in social situations and can play the part of a gentlemen if the situation calls for it. He is seen often in the game showing off his artistic side by juggling, painting, playing the piano, and dancing.
As a scientist one whose intelligence is only matched by his other self, Robert has a habit of approaching problems and situations with a critical eye and his wealth of knowledge. He applies logic first and then feeling. His habit of applying subjective thinking often leads to Rosalind calling him soft, as if it were a weakness rather than a strength. However, if Robert believes the outcome will be in his favor he is not afraid to bet on free will and emotions to have a direct impact on the result. Such thinking proves to work out for him in the end because he often bets against Rosalind and wins quite often.
Of course, Robert just like Rosalind is capable of committing to taking what risks are necessary to see his experimentation through. Furthermore, Robert displays the capacity to be ruthless and the determination to get what he wants by going to extremes. The best example of this is when he forces Rosalind to assist him in returning Elizabeth back to her original universe. Knowing just how much he means to Rosalind allowed him the chance to emotionally manipulate her in order to gain her assistance in correcting the events they had set in motion.
Despite his own recklessness, Robert does show some concern about rushing head long into danger if he has not completely thought out a situation. Evidence of this is Robert's wariness to immediately travel through the tear with the baby Elizabeth in hand. He exclaims Rosalind must be mad, while his sister insists that they will not get caught between.
Furthermore, Robert is capable acknowledging that their mistakes come with certain morale obligations. Rosalind's social detachment leaves her without any concerns prior to their interference. His sister was content with the outcome of their deaths since they could continue to exist and be together. Unfortunately, Robert remains unsatisfied over the outcome of Elizabeth's life and the ultimate destruction of New York City. His kindness ultimately leads him to develop a theory in which they might change events and return Elizabeth to her own world. Despite the odds being against them, he remains optimistic of the outcome and continues to keep trying, despite repeated failures that occur throughout the paradox.
Overall, Robert possesses and maintains like quantum mechanics, a degree of indeterminism. He believes without a doubt that every cause has an effect, but such things can be altered by the application of will. Thus, why again Robert's optimism helps set himself apart from his sister. He is the heart of their operation, the person who instead of seeing King Lear sees a blank page.

Roleplay Sample:
"There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city. It would seem that even in this place it would seem we begin with the same variables," Robert speaks to himself as he stands on the docks of the port of Vandare with his blue eyes set on the distant flicking light of the Vandare Lighthouse. Robert knows the beacon serves as much a hopeful glimmer for homesick sailors as it does a warning of the dangers hidden in the deep dark below, but such things are inconsequential to scientist.
Instead, Robert takes solace in calculating the time it takes the light to complete one full revolution and shine upon him again. The predictable timing grounds him to this reality and helps clear his mind of unproductive questions. Questions like how and why. After all, he is here and if he could be elsewhere he would most certainly be. Still, Robert would be lying if he said his appearance in this world did not spark his scientific curiosity, which would only be sated through proper investigation and testing. Such thoughts draw out a pleasant albeit concerned hum from his lips because such things will have to be put on hold while he waits to confirm Rosalind's presence in this world.
The light in the distance is about to complete its tenth revolution since Robert has started counting. If this world is like any other, then Robert knows he has little to fear. Like the speed at which the light turns, this world too has a set of constants and variables, different yet the same. So Robert waits, certain that if Rosalind is here that she will find him here.
